Brennan expands its expertise
with new executive hires

Sydney, Australia, 4th February 2021:  Brennan, Australia’s leading managed service provider, has announced three prominent new executive hires as part of its continued growth and expansion strategy for 2021.

2020 was a positive year for Brennan, which won significant new business in the enterprise space, expanded its public sector reach and expertise, and demonstrated outstanding customer service, receiving a world-class net promoter score of 83.

To complement Brennan’s growing public service expertise, Mike Foster has been brought on to lead its government division. Foster brings extensive industry experience, including over a decade as Chief Executive Officer at Fujitsu, and six years as a Non-Executive Director of Telstra Clear.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to help an Australian-owned IT company to grow and bring new innovative solutions to the market,” Foster says.

“Over the last twelve months, we have seen a massive amount of disruption in the market. This has put new emphasis on being adaptable, and doing things quickly, safely, reliably, and cost-effectively. Forward-focused companies like Brennan are well-positioned to help customers with this change,” he adds.

Cyber security also remains a core foundation of Brennan’s overall business and will continue to underpin its full services offering.

Daniel Hayes, the new Head of Security, contributes extensive experience in senior security-focused roles, including for DXC Technology, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and BitCloud. He says that Brennan has “an excellent reputation when it comes to the delivery of security as a service.”

“Cyber security is a focus area across the board these days, and I was excited about the opportunity to evolve and strengthen Brennan’s capability and offerings in this space,” he says.

“We need to help our clients achieve the level of data security and protection they need, while still being able to innovate and flourish,” he adds. “This means developing cost-effective, yet robust security solutions, and integrating these with the most appropriate controls at every layer to ensure the ultimate in prevention, detection, mitigation, and control”.

The recent, and rapid uptake of cloud-based workloads and assets, attributed largely to the COVID-19 pandemic, has also boosted demand for Brennan’s cloud expertise and services.

To support this, Song Yeap has been appointed as Brennan’s new Head of Cloud. Formerly Client Director at Contino and Associate Director of Cloud Solutions at Optus, Yeap contributes an extensive background in cloud across multiple verticals.

Yeap says he saw an exciting opportunity at Brennan to build a “next-generation cloud capability that would be 100% Australian-owned, without the red-tape and bureaucracy often found in large, multinational organisations”.

Yeap will lead the business’ national cloud team, which currently offers managed infrastructure services, managed hybrid IT, Azure managed services, and expertise in hyper-converged infrastructure, colocation, and business continuity.

He wants to help customers move beyond “why cloud?” conversations to “how cloud?” conversations, so they can get the most from their investment and start to enact positive change.

“Our design-thinking approach will allow us to match innovation with the genuine business outcomes our customers are hoping to achieve,” he adds.
