The The largest Australian owned and operated Systems Integrator, Brennan, has launched a “Fixed Fee, Fixed Outcome” promise to eliminate the common “cost blow outs” and project fails for digital transformation projects.
The move comes following Brennan’s completion of the integration of four recent acquisitions into the business, which added new digital transformation capabilities and expanded its geographic reach to better serve its customers.
The business, which enjoys industry leading NPS and retention rates, serves more than 1700 businesses with systems integrations and managed service solutions and in the last year posted growth while many others in the industry experienced a decline.
Brennan Founder and Managing Director, Dave Stevens, said it was important that businesses of all sizes were able to realise digital transformation benefits without cost over-runs or the frustration of undertaking projects that failed to achieve the desired outcome.
“We’re transforming the way Systems Integrators deliver outcomes, and we’re so confident, we’re backing ourselves with a fixed price promise to deliver a fixed benefit from digital transformation,” Mr Stevens said.
“We don’t believe it is good enough that the large majority of significant and costly digital transformation projects fail to deliver on reaching their stated goals.
“With around 75 per cent of transformations not achieving the desired objectives, that would mean some $35 billion of the estimated $47 billion* of ANZ transformation projects are missing the mark.
“This is often as a result of the projects’ objective not being fully fleshed out or the desire to deploy the latest shiny new toy overrides sound design.”
Mr Stevens said the commitment to a fixed cost and outcome model engagement was underpinned by the Brennan True Performance System developed from the company’s 27-year history of delivering technology that delivered customers and their end users real and relevant value.
“Drawing on our decades of experience of running a continuous improvement framework and systemising every aspect of our operations in managed services, we have built an operating system for success for even the largest of digital transformations,” Mr Stevens said.
“This system covers everything from how to identify the value that digital transformation can provide, the selection and design of a solution that is the right fit for the customers’ needs, priorities, and capabilities, to how we deliver the solution to the highest level of customer satisfaction.
“It is a system that is focused on delivering solutions that reflect the true ‘best interests’ of our customers, not the technology vendors.”
Through its focus on a continuous improvement framework and systemisation of its operations, Brennan has dramatically reduced the number of projects that are amber or red from around half of all a few years back to less than five per cent now.
“This is reflected in our industry leading +80 for transactional NPS, our record-breaking level of new customer acquisition and our market leading 95 per cent customer retention rate.
The promise is part of a wider restructure of Brennan to become the leading Systems Integrator business that genuinely delivers on the promise of technology, which will also see its managed services business and digital transformation offering operate under the one brand.
“To enable us to lead in this space, we’ve recently appointed digital practice managers in Cyber, AI, data analytics and digital solutions, and customer-led state managers across the country, to help identify digital transformation opportunities for our clients and the integrations that deliver true value.
“With this sector still evolving, we are seeing a range of different models being adopted by Systems Integrators, but we haven’t seen any that have a similar model without limitations and focused on delivering true value to the customer.”
