Welcome to the
The Voice

Welcome to July’s edition of The Voice.

You can’t open an IT newsletter or magazine at the moment without seeing something about SD-WAN. Whilst it’s undoubtedly a great networking solution for many organisations, rarely is it the complete solution. Like most things in the IT space right now, we believe you need to take a ‘Hybrid Networking’ approach.

In this month’s edition of The Voice we’ve included some resources that explore the benefits of SD-WAN, as well as explaining what we mean by ‘Hybrid Networking’ – something that marries perfectly with any organisation with Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure.

We hope you find the piece both useful and informative.

WHAT DOES PROPER
SD-WAN SECURITY
LOOK LIKE?

ARE DATA BREACHES
ON THE DECLINE?

REPORT: THE STATE
OF EMAIL SECURITY
2019

There is concern that
the industry is moving
too quickly, pushing
the powerful benefits
of SD-WAN too hard
and incorrectly
promoting cost
savings whilst
ignoring the many
security risks of
running a business
over the public
internet.

Over the last quarter,
only 215 data breaches
were reported, a significant
14 percent drop compared
with the previous October
– December period. But
are data breaches truly
on the decline, or are
organisations just
becoming more lax
in their reporting?
51% of Australia
businesses have said
that a ransomware attack
has impacted them in
the past year. ‘The State
of Email Security Report
2019′ contains research
to help you better
understand attack
frequency, the most
vulnerable departments,
and strategies you
can implement to
reduce your business’
risk.

BROCHURE: HYBRID SD-WAN

As more organisations undergo digital transformation and the use of business-critical, cloud-based applications and tools increases, those with multiple remote offices are switching from pure MPLS wide-area networks (WANs) to hybrid software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) architectures that incorporate both MPLS and local, direct internet connections. To give you exceptional data speeds, advanced external security protection and high resilience, Brennan IT advocates a Hybrid MPLS and SD-WAN solution.
