When Bankstown City Credit Union needed to refresh its hosted IT infrastructure, the proposed upgrade was too costly and didn’t take advantage of emerging technologies. The 46-year-old financial institution, located in Sydney’s southwest, was hosting a range of servers with a third-party data centre.
A server for each application and products approaching their use-by date meant a fresh approach was needed.
“Our previous data centre was a bit slow in embracing new technology,” Bankstown City Credit Union IT and e-commerce senior manager Enis Huseyin says.
“When it was time for us to do our upgrade path for our servers and offerings, they weren’t able to adequately help us or (be) cost effective.”
After searching the market, the credit union, which has almost 30 staff, selected Brennan IT’s private-cloud platform.
