Rust Report – 29th of October 2012The 2012 NSW ICT Entrepreneur of the Year awards were held last week and they were presented by the Hon. Andrew Stoner MP, NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade and Investment to joint winners: Mitch Harper and Eddie Machaalani founders of e-Commerce platform company Big Commerce and Jo Burston founder of the “new age” professional services firm Job Capital.
This year’s winners and finalists have been selected by industry peers for their outstanding efforts to help position NSW globally as a beacon for digital innovation and the commercial savvy. “Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade and Investment Andrew Stoner said “These companies and individuals are pioneering examples of the vibrancy, dynamism and strength of the digital economy here in Sydney and NSW. They set the benchmark for success in this important sector which will play a vital role in our efforts to position the NSW economy for innovation and growth in years to come”.
Also receiving special recognition awards for their entrepreneurial talents and industry contribution were in alphabetical sequence:

Bardia Housman – Start-up HQ and Business Catalyst
Ben Keighan and Cathy Edwards – Chomp (now part of Apple)
