PROJECT MANAGER - PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Job Description:

The Project Manager will be responsible for helping with pre-sales scoping and post-sale implementations of the on-demand NetSuite application.

This position will be responsible for quickly assessing customer implementation needs, documenting business requirements, engaging in change management, and coordinating the timelines of multiple projects.

Working directly with one or more Implementation Services Managers, this position will develope project plans, process flow diagrams, and detailed functional business analysis across the ERP, CRM and E-commerce aspects of projects to ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate must have a passion for helping small and mid-sized businesses find creative ways to use NetSuite to more effectively run their businesses. Work will be done both locally and at customer sites across North America.

Qualifications/Skills:

The ideal candidate will have In addition, this candidate should have solid experience in change management and Business Process Mapping in support of a major IS/IT initiative.
  • At least 7 to 10 years experience in systems applications consulting, either internally via an IT organization or externally with a consulting firm or software provider.
  • A Strong background in Project Management, including experience developing work-breakdown structures and project plans, most notably in Microsoft Project.
  • An excellent understanding of common industry standard business practices as related to Accounting (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Invoicing), Sales Force Management (Opportunity, Proposal, Sales Orders, Forecasting, territory management and Quotas), Inventory Management (Purchasing and Fulfillment) as well as support (Cases Management and Territory Management).
  • Excellent client management skills and the ability to work with customers to develop and manage an implementation plan with proven history of implementation successes in ERP / CRM deployment programs or projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing & translating customer business requirements into workable world class software solution.
  • Proven ability to work with technical engineering teams.
  • Ability to work across an organisation.
  • Experience with software in an ASP/SaaS environment is a plus as is any experience with financial accounting, customer management, and sales force automation software. Previous consulting experience with the following applications is a solid predictor of success as an Implementation Project Manager at NetSuite: QuickBooks, Great Plains, SalesForce.com, Upshot, ACT, Goldmine, MAS 90, Siebel, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards.
  • Familiarity with XML, JavaScript, HTML, Crystal and SQL is a plus.
  • Formal qualifications or certifications in Project Management (Prince2, PMBOK,)
  • Formal certification in ITIL essentials or higher.
      Additional Considerations:
  • Implementation of any NetSuite internal or external website, large complex implementation or managed service outsource implementation would be a big plus.

Functions & Responsibilities
  • Develop robust and achievable work plans, including management or scope and project risks at consultant level with customer Change Management approval.
  • Track and manage Application Implementation Project activities, deliverables to agreed outcomes
  • Provide timely and accurate progress reports and project documentation to management and Governance groups
  • Develop and deliver effective communication materials for various audience groups
  • Effectively manage relationships with project stakeholders, including customers and IT delivery teams
  • Manage relationships with vendors and third party suppliers
  • Provide knowledge and guidance to others in the development of deliverables
  • Structure IT project teams to incorporate required skills, from Bank team members and delivery partners
  • Identify and prioritise work demands for the project team, assign duties and manage delivery of objectives
  • Portray leadership behaviours which encourage productive working relationships and a strong performance culture
  • Encourage innovation and improvement within the team, assessing and providing feedback on the quality of suggestions
  • Evaluate effectiveness of project management tools, processes and methodologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Work within a team environment and provide assistance in the management and leadership of your team
The following experience is also desirable:
  • Understanding of IP Telephony and CTI applications
  • Networking experience
