POWERING OUR CENTRE
Supplying ample energy to data centres is a major concern for business. At Brennan we have addressed these issues. Our centre provides a modern, reliability and flexible design with abundant power to deal with peaks in demand you require.
One megawatt of power is generating the centre via dedicated substation. We have also accommodated for future long term demand upgrading to 1.5 Megawatts if required.
- A dedicated substation is currently being built to supply this enormous amount of energy
- 2.2kw per rack is a standard feature. The facility has been created to handle an average of 5.3kw average per rack.
- 6x 200 KVA MGE UPS systems are being installed throughout the centre.
- At full load 30 Minute run time on UPS.
- 2 x backup diesel generators has been allocated on the property.
- All racks are pre-cabled for power and data
- Customer specific power requirements are available upon request.
- All electrical systems are dimensioned and carefully designed for future expansions.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS
We have ensured the physical environment of our data centre is under strict control, providing optimum performance, availability and redundancy.
AIR
Our new cooling infrastructure in the Data Centre gives your business the correct climate processes for operational efficiency and a comfortable working environment.
- Total of 650Kw cooling in the room
- Standard computer room environmental systems are in place to handle humidity at the right levels and also filtration systems to remove dust.
- The design is based around non-stop running and N+1 Redundancy. All systems can be worked on live without interruption to the centre. All units are under comprehensive 24x7 onsite maintenance support.
- Comprehensive environmental monitoring systems are in place in 6 points through the centre. Monitoring sensors include: air flow, humidity, temperature, water sensors, smoke sensors, Voltage, mains supply, generator supply, fuel levels, UPS battery levels.
- All systems report back to centralised monitoring system with emergency thresholds going via GSM SMS.
- Up to 3.5Kw per rack before APC air extraction systems are require per rack.
FIRE DETECTION AND SUPPRESSION
With data being the backbone of your business, loss prevention is a high priority. To combat this our Data Centres have elaborate fire protection and alarm systems implemented across all floors and rooms giving you added security and protection for your data.
- Vesda smoke detection systems have been implemented above and below floors
- FM200 gas suppressions system above and below floor
- Dual action release mechanisms on suppression system
- Independent smoke system monitoring through the environmental monitoring system
- All walls / doors are constructed based on two hour fire rating in both directions
